The Lighting System |
 |
Nature Aquarium is system that grows healthy and beautiful aquatic plants, and it recreates nature in an aquarium. Aquatic plants that photosynthesize vigorously underwater will purify water by absorbing nutritive salts in the water. They also support a small ecosystem in an aquarium by releasing oxygen that is used by fish, shrimp, and microorganisms for respiration. Aquatic plants grow well only when they can photosynthesize.
Light is essential for photosynthesis. The light that is suitable for the photosynthesis of aquatic plants underwater is different from the light suitable for the photosynthesis of terrestrial plants. Therefore, aquatic plants did not grow well under the red grow light designed for terrestrial plants. The answer for the light for Nature Aquarium was found underwater in nature. Blue light passes through water very well, but red light hardly penetrates water.

| Aquarium lighting is an essential component of an aquatic system and is often neither properly considered when planning an aquarium nor properly maintained. Aquarium dimensions; fish, coral and plant life; filter media; blackwater supplements and decorative components that may affect water transparency and aesthetics, are all important factors to consider when choosing and optimizing aquarium lighting. |
